In designing their brand new medical practice environment, Bulimba Dermatology knew exactly what they wanted, so when the time came to discuss the fitout with Elite they had a clear idea of the style and image they wanted the project to achieve.

Bulimba Dermatology Practice Fitout

“Elite helped us source the materials to gain the look we were after and make compromises where needed due to budget and availability constraints.”

The design brief called for the inclusion of combinations of natural stone, timber and glass. This helped to soften the clinical, sterile aesthetic medical environments often know all too well.  A timber-look laminate provided the practice with the natural, earthy appearance the client required while allowing for the provision and application of marble surfaces and finishes in the budget.  The practice fitout features by tones of blue, which is Bulimba Dermatology’s brand colour. The tones are cleverly incorporated throughout the environment on surfaces such as splashbacks and two-pack internal doors.

The new practice comprises surgical treatment rooms, consultation rooms and cosmetic treatment and surgical rooms. The clinic also features sterilisation facilities and staff amenities, as well as a modern front-of-house reception area. In providing these facilities, Elite needed to be mindful of configuration and maximise floor and storage space, while keeping future growth front of mind. It was also important to the client that the practice environment made use of ample natural lighting.

“The fitout was successful in achieving our vision. The feedback from patients has been very positive and the practice functions well from an operational point of view.”  Dr. Scott Webber, Bulimba Dermatology.
