Elite Fitout
Elite Fitout partnered with Dr Lily Vrtik, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and visionary for the creation of EOS Surgical, to deliver a bespoke clinic that mirrors her commitment to excellence, care and aesthetic precision. Located within Brisbane’s North West Private Hospital, the design combines clinical functionality with a refined, hospitality-inspired atmosphere.
Dr Vrtik’s goal was to create a contemporary practice that would resonate with her patients and support her surgical work—balancing a sense of calm with professionalism and precision. The brief called for a highly functional layout with elevated interior detailing that distinguished the space from typical clinical environments.
Key objectives included:
The interior design draws from both clinical and hospitality influences to craft a space that feels calm, composed and thoughtfully refined. Every detail—from finish selection to ceiling treatment—was carefully considered to create a unique environment that supports the patient journey from arrival through to consultation and treatment.
The reception area establishes a strong sense of identity and professionalism which include stone benchtops, tailored bench seating, and high end built-in amenities like a brass finish Zip Tap and niched pamphlet and product displays. A soft whitewash finish was applied across the organically curving walls and bordered ceiling, subtly diffusing light and softening the overall visual impact. This bespoke finish continues into the corridors and consult rooms, creating a seamless and calming backdrop throughout the practice.
The ceiling is framed with integrated LED lighting which defines the reception zone, introducing depth and warmth while adding a soft architectural layer.
Arched detailing is a signature design element throughout the front-of-house. Used across door frames and joinery, these curves reference classical architectural forms and lend a hospitality sensibility to the space—offering a softer, more curated alternative to traditional clinical geometry. Cost-effective solutions were employed to achieve the look without the added complexity of curved aluminium framing.
Warm timber tones in the joinery, brushed brass accents, and contemporary lighting fixtures complement the layered palette and elevate the spatial experience. Together, these elements create a waiting and reception zone that feels intentional and composed.
Consultation rooms carry the whitewashed wall finish into the back-of-house, enhancing cohesion and maintaining a refined feel. The timber vinyl plank flooring transitions to coved vinyl in treatment areas while one of the standout features of the treatment room is the cream and gold floral wallpaper, a striking departure from the expected clinical aesthetic.
Positioned as a focal point, this element adds warmth, texture, and an unexpected elegance—bringing a hospitality feel into a space typically defined by sterility. The wallpaper softens the patient experience, offering a sense of familiarity and calm during procedures.
The completed EOS Surgical clinic offers a distinctive and elevated clinical environment that reflects Dr Lily Vrtik’s professional ethos—precise, compassionate and design-conscious. The interior combines refined detailing with practical functionality, delivering a patient experience in a space that feels both exceptional and deeply considered.
