Tarragindi Vet Surgery

Overview

Elite Fitout Solutions recently undertook a fitout for Tarragindi Vet Surgery, located in the family and pet-friendly suburb of Tarragindi in Brisbane’s south. The client has an existing practice, so had knowledge of the features and functions he wanted to focus on.

The client’s vision was for an “industrial theme” as it suited the existing space, and two consulting rooms, a surgery, treatment area, pharmacy/lab area, tea room and laundry were required.

Outcome

The Elite team created with the client an industrial design with a subtle colour palette, modern flooring and lighting, and secondary accents of white, to reinforce the feeling of cleanliness and order. Timber accents were also used on the walls and cabinetry which added texture and amplified its contemporary design. The surgery and treatment room designs featured a mostly white palette which softened the clinical nature of the stainless steel equipment, and both rooms were designed to ensure they were filled with plenty of natural light.

After discussing the layout required with the client, it became obvious that the building did not have a public entry that would be in a logical location for clients entering from the carpark and to fully utilise the tenancy space and workflow in the veterinary clinic. This required a new shopfront entry to be created in the existing tilt panel wall to allow direct access from the carpark to the reception area. The existing entry was then able to be utilised by the clinic to access an external undercover area for a hydro bath and dog exercise space

Despite the structural constraints of the site being an existing building with somewhat restricted space, by working closely with the client, the Elite team were able to achieve the scope of what he envisioned.
