Medical Practice Design & Fitout Showcase

As we head into the last weeks of 2021, we take a look back at some of the medical design and fitout projects we completed throughout the year.

Here are three of our favourite medical practice fitouts we delivered in 2021.

Ashmore Podiatry

Having outgrown their existing premises, Ashmore Podiatry needed a larger space to accommodate their growing practice.

Operating as a podiatrist in the Gold Coast community for over 25 years, owner Debbie Owen had a clear understanding of what worked, and hadn’t worked well in her previous premises, and was eager to optimise the space and functionality in her new clinic space.

Design Layout

In designing the podiatry practice, Elite worked alongside Debbie to improve the clinic’s flow and function to better serve her patients, with a particular focus on the sterilisation room layout. 

Interior Design

The colour scheme of the allied health clinic is fresh and bright, with light oak flooring complemented by soft hues of blue and offset by the white walls and ceilings and smoky bark-coloured doors.  In the lab and steri areas, the flooring is warm grey with a textured concrete look.

The level of communication Elite provided me during the planning and design stage was a credit to them. The team remained on schedule and the end-product is above and beyond my expectations. My podiatry clinic now has a seamless workflow and is professional and timeless.

Neighbourhood Medical

This inner-west Brisbane medical centre ended up looking amazing, but the design and fitout project was not without its challenges.  

The fitout was undertaken during periods of lockdowns and restrictions due to COVID, making access to selected materials severely restricted and social distancing on-site was critical. Despite these constraints, the project was completed on-time. This was made possible by sourcing alternative materials at no additional cost to the client and the effective implementation of Elite’s COVID-safe management plan.

Interior Design

With a focus on women and children’s health, Neighbourhood Medical was designed to be warm and welcoming. A colour palette of turquoise and teal green was chosen, melding perfectly with the light timber-LVT flooring and white accents throughout the clinic.

A feature wall welcomes patients as they enter the medical practice.  The timber battens are widely spaced, revealing the same teal green finish beneath, and overlayed with the brand signage.  The four consult rooms feature elements of navy blue and charcoal grey throughout the furnishings and cabinetry.

The understated elegance and comfort of the furnishings throughout the clinic feels stylish and welcoming.

Elite delivered our vision in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way in an efficient timeframe.  We would happily work with them again in the future.

Birtinya Physio

After twenty years of leasing spaces in healthcare clinics, physiotherapist Georgie Walshe took the plunge and decided to establish a stand-alone physiotherapy clinic on the Sunshine Coast.

The chosen location provided the perfect opportunity to incorporate all the essential elements to deliver excellent patient care. The premises also offered the space for Georgie to grow the business in the future.

Design

Georgie had a clear vision for her clinic, and appointed Elite to design and fitout Birtinya Physio. A spacious environment with an efficient layout and flow was a must. And the design needed to be reflective of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.

The end result is a clinic that is light, airy and welcoming, with a modern, coastal design.

The practice features three physio treatment areas, allied health space, kitchen, reception and awaiting area.  A large exercise area is also located at the back of the facility and is easily accessible from all the clinic’s treatment areas.
