Elite recently completed the fitout of an open plan veterinary surgery in Yandina, located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The practice features a contemporary, streamlined design, with all design elements working together to create a stylish and highly functional practice.
The clinic has designated areas each side of the reception desks for dogs and cats. Entry to the dedicated consult rooms is via different doors.
The vet practice features two consult areas, animal ward, dog run and pharmacy/lab. Additionally, there is a treatment, steri and surgery area. The clinic also includes imaging, isolation ward, recovery cages, laundry and staff amenities.
Prior to moving to their Yandina premises, the clinic was located on acreage in a rural area. The new practice can now take advantage of walk-by traffic, as well as benefiting from the additional space the new clinic offers.
A key consideration for the layout of the new clinic was to establish a good flow from reception to the consult rooms. This was achieved by positioning the consult rooms directly behind the respective waiting areas, with entry via separate doors. The layout also provides convenient access from the consult rooms to the treatment, steri and surgery areas of the clinic.
