Auchenflower Medical Specialist

Overview

Elite Fitout Solutions undertook a fitout for Auchenflower Medical Specialists, a practice that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system. Run by Dr Robert Adam and his wife Fiona, it is located on the 10th floor of the Evan Thomson Building on the Wesley Hospital campus.

Outcome

This was Dr Adam and Fiona’s first practice, and Elite worked closely with them to bring their vision of a functional and modern environment to life. The 5-week project culminated in the creation of a contemporary and aesthetically beautiful space, including three consulting rooms, a tearoom and a reception area.

All rooms are now a wonderful combination of shapes, colours and textures in a high-end yet calm and inviting design. The addition of green accents in particular suits the suite’s purpose, as green is a quiet, restful and comforting colour that can help diffuse anxiety.

The minimisation of noise was an important factor given the suite is located within a hospital environment. This involved the Elite team working closely with the client in terms of coordinating work times that would not disrupt those in neighbouring suites. Existing plumbing, draining and connection points were used to keep to a minimum any complications or distractions to the tenants below. Additionally, work couldn’t be done at night as there is a Sleep Disorders Centre in the building. The Elite team also worked on the reduction of noise transfer between the consulting rooms.
