Elite recently completed the fitout of ClinRad’s second radiology clinic, located in the western-Brisbane suburb of Kenmore. The company has been operating in Wynnum since February 2020 and the new clinic was opened a year later.
ClinRad had a specific timeframe to adhere to for the new radiology clinic fitout. Elite worked with them on a project schedule that would ensure the fitout was completed before the set date.
The 260sqm fitout features four ultrasound rooms, CT and control room, general X-ray room and control room, four change rooms, clinic reporting, sorting and general ancillary rooms and reception/waiting area.
The clinic is compact yet welcoming, with light timber flooring and comfortable furnishings in the reception and waiting area. The polar-white reception desk displays the brightly coloured ClinRad logo front and centre. This further enhances the clean lines of the facility design.
The clinic’s signage adorns the building’s exterior. ClinRad’s brand colours of turquoise, lime green and orange feature prominently on the large windows of the clinic.
Project Challenges
Due to Clinrad’s lease there was very little flexibility to extend its trading commencement date, and arrangements were already in place for the installation of specialist imaging equipment prior to the scheduled trading date. Therefore, Elite was faced with the challenge of completing the project within a very tight timeline when Covid-19 was impacting the availability of trades and materials, as well as a city-wide lock down.
Successful Outcome
Being a national company, Elite was able to tap into its diverse range of suppliers. This allowed Elite to accelerate standard industry lead times in sourcing materials. Elite was also able to streamline the build process, avoiding any delays from the city-wide lock down that occurred part-way through the project.
Elite’s actions provided a successful outcome for ClinRad, with the installation of CT and X-ray equipment occurring even earlier than scheduled. This meant that the practice could start trading about one week prior to their originally scheduled opening date.
