Collaborative Execution for Haan Medical Fitout Project

Having outgrown their original premises, Haan Medical approached Elite Fitout Solutions to assist with the fitout of their new clinic location.

Spread over two floors, the new clinic was located in a small block of outdoor-facing shops featuring complementary businesses including a physiotherapy and hearing clinic.

The new floor plan was triangular in shape, so Elite took a clever approach to the design process to fit in as many consult rooms as the plan allowed.  Fan lights and glazing were also installed to enhance light and bring in natural light throughout the corridors.

Front of house design elements included light ash timber flooring with touches of turquoise in the signage and on the walls.  This had the effect of creating a friendly and relaxing environment for patients.

Elite worked collaboratively with the owner of Haan Health to replicate existing brand elements in the new clinic fitout. This included working with the owner’s chosen joiner and using joinery sourced from overseas. The resulting lead time from shipping etc. impacted the project timeline. However, with careful planning, Elite was able to manage the process effectively to meet deadlines and budget. Externally, signage and feature logos were also installed so the owner could continue to leverage Haan Medical’s existing brand power.

Another collaborative aspect of the project involved working closely with the physiotherapy practice next door to ensure the fitout did not disturb the business. Work was scheduled so it would not interfere with the physiotherapy practice’s timetable. The site supervisor and practice manager also conducted daily meetings to coordinate this scheduling. This meant, for example, that loud tools were not used while group physiotherapy sessions were conducted.
