Modern High-End Design for Albert Road Medical Fitout

Elite recently completed the design and construction of the new 5-consult room Albert Road medical clinic in inner-city South Melbourne.  

The 181sqm premises is at the bottom of a high-rise residential building. The space was previously occupied by a high-end hair salon for a number of years.  The change of space required council approval. Elite worked with the client, town planning consultants and the local council to obtain the appropriate approval to proceed with the project.

The new medical clinic features a spacious reception and waiting area, five consult rooms, treatment room, pathology areas, staff office and amenities.  

Clinic Design

The owner wanted a modern and minimalist style for the clinic, with simple clean lines and natural wood features. The unique warehouse-style space features high ceilings, curved walls and exposed concrete ceilings that are accentuated with track lighting and low lights.

The clinic’s brand colours feature throughout the clinic. Turquoise coloured doors, trims and splashbacks are offset nicely by crisp white walls and columns.

The large reception desk design incorporates a grey oak wood countertop spliced with a Polar White-coloured façade and oak wood accents. 

Soft mushroom-coloured carpeting and light grey wood flooring accentuates the modern, comfortable feel of the clinic.

The consulting rooms, office, pathology, treatment and tea rooms feature a predominantly white colour scheme. Feature cupboards elevate the look of the cabinetry complemented by the cool lines of the turquoise doors and splashbacks.

Access to the area immediately below the premises was very difficult. Elite solved this problem by creating a void in the partition walls. This new space could accommodate the services required for the medical clinic.

The design and fitout of the Albert Road medical clinic has received high praise from its patient base.
