Elite recently completed the design and fitout of a new medical practice in inner-west Brisbane. The boutique general practice focuses on women and children’s health, and is in a peaceful setting on the ground level of a low-rise apartment building.
The 126sqm Neighbourhood Medical clinic has four consult rooms, treatment area, reception and waiting areas, staff room and amenities.
Practice Design
The medical clinic features a clean and uncluttered style that feels warm and welcoming. The chosen colours of turquoise and teal green meld perfectly with the light timber-LVT flooring and white accents.
A feature wall welcomes patients as they enter the medical practice. The timber battens are widely spaced, revealing the same teal green finish beneath, and overlayed with the brand signage. The marble-look reception desk has diffused lighting at the bottom, providing a nice contrast to the light timber-LVT flooring.
The understated elegance and comfort of the furnishings throughout the clinic feels stylish and welcoming.
The light timber-LVT flooring continues into the consult rooms, complemented by crisp white cabinetry in one consult room and dark wood cabinetry in another room. The consult rooms feature elements of navy blue and charcoal grey through the furnishings, doors and medical equipment. The consult room desks carry through the marble design from the reception desk.
Fitout Project Challenges
Despite the location of the site on the ground level of a low-rise apartment building, Elite completed the fitout with minimal disruption to apartment residents.
The project was undertaken during COVID, making access to selected materials severely restricted and social distancing on-site critical. Despite these constraints, the project was completed on-time. This was made possible by sourcing alternative materials at no additional cost to the client with the effective implementation of Elite’s COVID-safe management plan.
Elite delivered our vision in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way in an efficient timeframe. We would happily work with them again in the future.
