Brisbane Specialist Clinic Fitout Exudes Warmth and Sophistication

With the practice expanding to incorporate additional consultants, the Brisbane Urology Clinic took the opportunity to extend and refurbish their premises.  

After resolving a minor issue with building approval regarding exit door requirements, Elite collaborated with Brisbane Urology’s architect Robyn Booth to complete the upmarket specialist clinic fitout.  The project included demolishing the existing fitout prior to updating partitions, ceilings, and lighting throughout the clinic.  Plumbing, drainage, electrical and mechanical service works were performed in the reception and waiting areas, consult and procedure rooms as well as administration offices.     

The overall vision for the practice was to provide a functional space that worked well for the expanding practice. The clinic also needed to be a warm and welcoming space for both patients and staff.   To achieve this vision, an integral part of the design planning process was creating the extra space required for the new consultants. There were also additional layout issues that needed to be resolved.

For the practice’s aesthetic vision, Robyn suggested finishes that had a point of difference.  The colours chosen – while classic in design – are also elegant.  A rich chocolate brown textured carpet with dark timber and white joinery was selected. This carpet worked well with the white joinery and the contrasting orange accents.  This created a space that is striking.

Brisbane Urology wanted the reception area and waiting room to have warmth, but also to have a unique look.  This was achieved by integrating orange from the brand colours into certain design features throughout the front of house area.

Now operating out of their newly fitted out and expanded specialist clinic, Brisbane Urology is very happy about the fitout process and the end result.
