Fitout Project: Creating A Social Vet Practice in Casuarina

Elite delivered a modern-looking fitout for the 98sqm Casuarina Seaside Vet Practice.  The project was challenging because the overall area had to accommodate reception, waiting area, retail and an informal space for pet owners and patients to enjoy a coffee, tea or other beverages.   The fitout also included two consulting rooms, a surgery, treatment lab, cat and dog cages, laundry and staff areas.

From the ‘get-go’ the owners of Casuarina Seaside Vet Practice had a very clear vision for the fitout. They wanted the space to have a modern, funky and social ‘look and feel’.  The client’s vision was to create ‘café style’ seating in the reception area so that clients felt comfortable bringing their pets to the vet. They wanted it to feel like going to your local café for a coffee.   

A modern backdrop of “cool concrete” wraps the walls and floors, creating a feeling of space in the clinic.  The floor treatment extends from the front door to the consult rooms and through to the back of the practice.   Retail shelving also incorporated black and plywood design elements.  

Striking-looking materials consisting of black iron, plywood and concrete create this modern look. The client was very happy with the results.
