Esk Dental: Building a Welcoming Practice with Calming Mountain Views

Dentist Shree Kamaradder contacted Elite back in 2014 to fitout his dental clinic in Toowoomba.  Fast-forward to 2017, and Shree engaged Elite to build, design and fitout a brand new dental facility in Esk.

The project was not without its challenges. Stringent town planning and building approvals required to ensure the building design fit in with the heritage character of the local streetscape.  Town planning can be a time-consuming exercise, as was the case for this project. The project included a new 240sqm building to be constructed for the purposes of a 140sqm dental practice and 100sqm for office/commercial space. Elite worked closely with Shree to ensure the elements associated with building the new Esk Dental facility met council and building regulations. 

External colour selections cleverly blend in with the surrounding buildings.  The majority of the building structure features a strong charcoal colour, complementing the front street façade of the structure, which is painted in white.  Ceilings and walls in both the dental and office/commercial tenancy are plasterboard-lined to achieve energy efficiency ratings required for building certification. 

The project scope included fitting out the new building with two dental surgeries with mountain landscape views and ceiling mounted TVs. The practice also features a combined OPG and steri room, waiting area, kitchen and exterior plant room. 

The Esk Dental Centre fitout includes the brand’s colours in the reception, waiting area and office areas. Natural wood features complementing the bold android green accents.  In the dental surgery rooms, bright orange accents counterbalance bright white walls and cabinetry.  The many windows throughout the Esk Dental building are strategically placed to allow plenty of natural light. This allows patients expansive mountain views, offering a calming outlook whilst undergoing treatment.
